Resolution in one step. It is not very demanding to prove the falsity of R1C6= 5. Its elimination solves the scheme.
When the 5 at r1c6 is true, the 5 at r3c8 is both true and false, so 5 at r1c6 must be false:
chain1 = (5)r1c6 – 5r3c5=5r3c8
chain 2 = (5)r1c6 –5 r9c6=5r9c9-5r4c9=5r45c8-5r3c8 |

In the first grid there is a Type 6 UR (on 49) that caught my eye @ r1c46 and r5c46. Hence r1c6<>9; and makes two placements of 9 (@r1c4 and r5c6). But the XY-Wing -456 pointed out by Gianni does essentially the same thing. Beautiful!
In the second grid I again went for another UR (Type 1?) on (18) @r4c78 and r9c78, which means that r4c8<>1&8 (pseudo cell 56 subset). This moves things along nicely.
After the rinse there was yet another UR (Type2?) to be found on 58 with subset of 46....r2c3<>5&8.
And then an X-Wing -456....r2c7<>4. And I actually finished with a BUG+2 r3c8<>5 (=4!) and r8c7<>5 (=4!).
Since this was my path, I based the title of this post on that.
Nice job of solving by everyone and thanks for posting them.
