I hadn't realized that about the computer hint, but it makes sense, of course -- you can hardly "see" removing a candidate from a multi-candidate cell. Thanks very much for taking the time to educate me. |

In Deb's grid there is an XY-wing 69 59 56 in C13. There is another 69 56 59 in C23. Then, look where 9 must be in C2. Making a hidden pair 69 in C1. Solving R5C2 as 4.
