damn i can't solve this one. help needed. i need the next number which fits. plz explain why this number has its place. Im sure its right this far.

Try putting a "9" in r5c2.
Because you have six numbers in row 6, you can see that the contents of the last row in the middle left 3x3 box (r6c1, r6c2, & r6c3) are {5, 6, 8}, in some order. Therefore the contents of the middle row in that box (r5c1, r5c2, & r5c3) must be {4, 7, 9}, in some order.
You already have {4, 7} entered in column 2. So the only possible value at r5c2 is 9. dcb |
