r1c6<>8 as by using the 8's in boxes 8 and 9 you get no 8's in box 3

Forgive me if this is not a VH technique - although I don't see why not.

Colouring. More than just a therapy.

Choose two colours (green and pink). We are following the 8's.

Start with green on r8c5 and follow the strong link and use the other colour, pink
on r8c7. Back to green on r7c9 and so on - alternating colours.

Look at the landscape and you can see instances where two colours are in the same house (row, column, box). Row 1 has two greens and so does column 5. These are contradictions.

If they were TRUE they couldn't exist so they must be FALSE. You can remove 8 from every green square.

Finned Xwing 8's C58 (R3C5 is the fin 8)
R1C6 -8 if R3C5 is either 8 or 4.
